February 8: Rally in Solidarity with GRACE

GRACE calls on the community to stand in solidarity and show support for our immigrant neighbors in proclaiming: families are sacred; places of worship are sanctuaries, and schools are safe spaces.

GRACE calls on local residents, communities, and government officials to eliminate the baseless and indiscriminate characterization of undocumented immigrants as violent criminals and instead recognize that the vast majority of those fleeing to the U.S. have risked their lives to seek asylum from violence and oppression. They deserve respect, acceptance, compassion, and empathy in all of our interactions with them.

Why are we taking this stand?

The federal government is taking unconscionable actions in dealing with undocumented residents, including those in the process of obtaining resident status. Enforcement of our national border cannot come at the price of the destruction of basic human rights or well-established civil rights.

Join us in advocacy & action.

A rally will take place this Saturday, February 8 at 10:00 AM at the steps of the West Palm Beach Courthouse.  More than 100 community members, including lay and clergy members across religions and members of various Palm Beach County-based 501(C)3 organizations, will hold their signs high and participate in a ceremony and chants supporting our immigrant neighbors.
