As Trump pushes ICE raids, immigrant rights advocates rally in West Palm Beach
WEST PALM BEACH — Amid Donald Trump's executive orders revoking birthright citizenship, and federal officers targeting possible undocumented residents, more than 100 people rallied downtown Saturday for immigrants' rights and demanded their basic humanity be recognized.
Members of two Lake Worth Beach nonprofits and a Miami-based group that serve citizens and noncitizens in need gathered at the steps of the Palm Beach County Courthouse, cheering on speeches by priests, pastors, a racially profiled citizen, and a local lawyer known for taking on big companies and governments violating people's rights.
